Crop PDF Pages

Trim PDF margins or change the PDF page size.

Drop your file here

Trim the margins of a PDF by dragging a crop box over a preview of each page. You can also change the page size so every page fits a standard paper size.

How to use Crop PDF

  1. Choose or drop a PDF file.
  2. Select Trim margins, then drag the edges or corners of the box on the page, or type the margins in millimetres.
  3. Turn on Crop each page separately if pages need different crops, and use the page strip to switch pages.
  4. Click Apply and download the cropped PDF.

What it does

  • Drag handles on the edges and corners, or move the whole box; arrow keys nudge it by 1 mm (5 mm with Shift).
  • Type exact margins in millimetres for the top, bottom, left and right.
  • Apply one crop to all pages or set a different crop for each page.
  • A thumbnail strip shows every page with its crop area.
  • Change page size mode fits each page onto A4, US Letter, US Legal, A3 or A5, in portrait, landscape or the page's own orientation.

Good to know

  • Cropping hides the area outside the box by changing the page boundaries. The hidden content is not deleted from the file.
  • To permanently remove content, use the PDF editor's Whiteout with Redact instead.

Your files and privacy

The PDF is read and cropped in your browser and is not uploaded to Docshar's server. If you are signed in, Docshar counts your operations (tool, number of files, sizes and page counts), never the file contents. See the Privacy Policy.

Questions

Can I crop only some pages?

Yes. Turn on Crop each page separately, pick a page in the strip, and adjust its box. Pages you do not change keep the crop set for all pages.

Does cropping reduce the file size?

Not really. The content outside the crop box stays in the file and is only hidden.

How do I make all pages the same paper size?

Choose Change page size, then pick a size such as A4 or US Letter and an orientation. Each page is scaled to fit and centred on the new page.
