Scale PDF pages onto a new paper size, or add extra white space around each page without scaling the content.

How to use Resize PDF Pages

  1. Choose or drop your PDF file.
  2. Choose "Change page size" or "Add margins".
  3. For a new size, pick A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or a custom width and height, then the orientation and Fit or Fill scaling.
  4. For margins, set how many millimetres to add on each side.
  5. Click Resize PDF and download the new file.

What it does

  • Preset sizes: A4, Letter, Legal, A3 and A5, or a custom size from 20 to 5000 mm.
  • Orientation like the original, or forced portrait or landscape.
  • Fit keeps the whole page visible; Fill covers the paper and may trim edges.
  • Add 1 to 50 mm of white margin on every side without scaling the content.
  • Content is kept as vectors, so text stays sharp.

Good to know

  • When changing page size, links and form fields are not carried over.
  • Fill scaling can cut off content near the page edges.

Your files and privacy

Pages are resized in your browser, and the PDF is not uploaded to Docshar's server. If you are signed in, Docshar counts your operations (tool, number of files, sizes and page counts), never the file contents. See the Privacy Policy.

Questions

How do I convert Letter pages to A4?

Choose Change page size, pick A4 and Fit. Each page is scaled to fit A4 and centred, with white edges where the shapes differ.

Does adding margins shrink my content?

No. In Add margins mode the page grows by the amount you set on every side and the content stays the same size.

Can I resize several PDFs at once?

Yes, on plans that include batch processing you can select several files and download the results as a ZIP.
